Water Filtration for the Home
Water Filters, UV Systems, Pumps, Reverse Osmosis
If you don't have a filter, YOU are the filter!
Every type of water has contaminants in it, either from the way we catch it, like ecoli & giardia on tank water or it has chemicals added to it such as in mains/town water.
Our job is to help you drink healthy water in your home and workplace, and then service the filtration system or water pump in a timely organised manner, so you keep drinking healthy water.
Solutions for your Water Supply
Whether you are on a council water supply, rain water, or have another water source, we have the solution to suit your needs.
Discover the Benefits of Whole House Filtration
Council Water Supply
The three options we use for council water supply protection are:
Bench Top System: If you're renting or want a travel filter
Underbench Systems: If your in your own home & want a single kitchen tap purified for drinking
Whole House Systems: If you would like your whole house filtered
Local councils insist on treated water / potable water.
If you are building a new house, the building act 2004 means that you will need to have a supply of potable (meets drinking water standards) water to your house. May local councils are being much more vigilant with this and prospective homeowners are being required to show how they will provide this.
If you are on a rural supply or scheme this will usually mean that you will need to install water filters and/or disinfection.
Rain Water Untreated
Each source of water has different needs
We carry a wide range of solutions but we always tailor our solutions to our client's needs.
Lots of people feel fine when on drinking tank water on a daily basis, however, your risk of getting sick can increase with stress, illness, age or if something unusual gets into your water tank.
It isn’t all about you either, particularly at risk are your families & visitors to your home who are not used to the water and have no resistance, especially young children, new mums, older people or those with compromised immune systems.
How can I protect myself if I am on rainwater?
This is most important as microbiological contaminants can cause most the damage in the shortest time.
You can disinfect your water with:
- Line Guard (physically removes microbiological contaminants)
- UV steriliser (inactivates pathogens and is chemical free)
- Tank Pure (chemical disinfectant, that breaks down into hydrogen and water - No THMs)
You can filter your water to remove sediment, tastes odours and colour.
The three water filter systems we use for rainwater are:
- Bench Top System
- Underbench Systems
- Whole House Systems
What is the difference between filtration and disinfection?
Disinfection is where microbiological contaminants are removed, inactivated or killed so that they cannot cause infection.
Filtration (0.5micron and larger) is where particles are removed, particularly sediment.
It is important to know that filtration is not disinfection. Installing a standard filter (0.5 microns or larger) will not protect you from getting sick. Only disinfection can do that.
GROUND (BORE) WATER UNTREATED
What is Ground Water?
Ground water comes from bores, wells or springs. It is a common water source as it is generally considered to be reliable. However it is often high in minerals.
SURFACE WATER (Creeks, streams, rivers) UNTREATED
What is Surface Water?
Surface water is water that comes from streams, rivers, creeks, ponds or dams. Generally for domestic use, this is the most difficult to treat as water quality is so variable.
If you are building a new house, it is advised that surface water should not be the first choice of water source.
